WYBA Helpful Information
2011-2012 Season
Inclement Weather Policy: WYBA follows the EISD
policy regarding weather. If the schools are dismissed due to
the weather, all WYBA events are also cancelled.
Eligible Participants: All first through twelfth
grade students (except Westlake High School Basketball Players)
living in or attending school in the Eanes Independent School
District.
Leagues: The Recreational and Prep Leagues will
be divided by student sex and grade classifications. Players
in the 4th - 12th Grades will be drafted onto teams through a
system designed to create parity. Players in the 1st -2nd Grades
are generally placed on teams according to school attendance.
Players in the 3rd Grade are placed on teams attempting to balance
parity while continuing to acknowledge school attendance when
possible.
Registration Fees:
Recreational League: Girls
Grades 1-3 $150

4-8 $175
Boys
Grades 1-3 $150
*Grades 4-12 $175
| * Workouts for the older Recreational
teams MAY be conducted to help promote more equitable teams and
a more competitive league. If it is decided to have a workout,
the information will be posted on our website by November 17,
2010. If there is nothing posted on our website, there will be
no workout. |
** Prep League: Girls
Prep (4th-7th) $200
Boys
JR Prep (4th-5th) $200 Boys
SR Prep (5th-6th) $225
| ** If you are trying out for the Prep League,
please pay the highest possible fee. All girls should pay $200.
All 5th and 6th Grade boys should pay $225, while 4th Grade boys
should pay $200. Appropriate refunds will be made once players
are assigned to teams. |
Late Fee: Registration received after
October 28, 2011 will require an additional fee of $50. Registrations
received after November 15, 2011 are not guaranteed to be placed
on a team.
Refund Policy: A full refund will be
honored if requested prior to November 15, 2011.
Scholarships: Full
and Partial Scholarships are available for families unable to
pay the registration fee. If you would like to apply for a scholarship,

Coaches Meeting: All coordinators will
hold a meeting for their coaches, including assistant coaches,
to finalize team rosters, discuss rules and other pertinent information
prior to the beginning of the season.
Post – Season Party: Each team will
be responsible for holding its own post-season party.
Pictures: As part of the registration
fee, WYBA provides an individual picture and team picture for
recreational league participants in grades 1 – 6, Girls
Prep and Boys Prep. The photography company will provide an opportunity
to purchase additional pictures. No make-up pictures will be
provided.
