While the Recreational League is mostly Eanes ISD eligible students, WYBA is able to accommodate non-Eanes students.
The Prep League has a limited number of players so all players must be Eanes ISD eligible students and participate in tryouts unless granted a waiver by the league.

Practices and games will be canceled if the schools are closed and/ or students are sent home early due to inclement weather. When school is closed, due to inclement weather, the Gyms are closed to WYBA. If you are concerned that events may be canceled you should check your email, Eanes website: www.eanesisd.net

WYBA will be offering a 2020 Spring Drills/Workout Program for 3rd through 6th graders. The 3rd/4th graders will work together (5:30-6:30), and the 5th/6th graders will work together (6:00-7:00). The program is designed to help players develop individual skills and learn advanced team concepts. Lessons will include both Skill sessions and games. This is a 6-week session beginning March 24 and ending April 29. Workouts will be held at Hill Country Middle School (unless notified of a different location).

When registering you may select the night you prefer to participate – Tuesday or Wednesday. These are Co-Ed workouts that will allow each player to build on his/her skill level. The 6-week Spring Session Cost is $175. The workouts will be conducted by Paul Lamb, Executive Director of WYBA with assistance from experienced coaches. Inclement Weather Policy: Inclement Weather Policy: WYBA follows the EISD policy regarding weather. If the schools are dismissed due to the weather, all WYBA events are also cancelled.

Eligible Participants: All kindergartners through twelfth grade male students (except Westlake High School Basketball Players) and kindergartners through sixth grade female students who are Attending or eligible to attend Eanes Independent School District schools..

Leagues: The Recreational and Prep Leagues will be divided by student gender and grade classifications. Players in the 3rd through 12th grades will be drafted onto teams through a system designed to create parity. Players in kindergartner through 2nd grades are generally placed on teams according to school attendance.

Recreational League Girls (Grades K-3) $175 Grades 4-6        


Boys (Grades K-3) $175 Grades 4-12

Boys JR Prep (4th-5th)  $225
  Boys SR Prep (5th-6th)   $250  

  * *If you are trying out for the Prep League, you should pay the highest possible fee.
Once teams are formed a refun will be made when appropriate.
All Girls should pay $225.00.
All Boys in the 4th Grade should pay $225.00.
All Boys in the 5th and 6th Grade should pay $250.00.

Registration Period: Registration begins onSeptember 1, 2019 and continues to October 19, 2019       

Late Fee: Registration received between October 20, 2019 and November 03, 2019 will require an additional late fee of $50. All players registered by November 03, 2019 are guaranteed placement in the league.

Waiting List: The Online Registration Link will be removed on November 04, 2019. You can email Paul Lamb at paul@wlyba.org to be added to a waiting list. There is NO guarantee we can add the player for this season. To be considered, you need to provide the following information (Player’s Name, Parent’s Name; Player’s Gender; Player’s Grade; Parent’s Phone Number and Player’s School of Attendance.)

Refund Policy: A full refund will be honored if requested by November 03, 2019.

Scholarships: Full and Partial Scholarships are available for families unable to pay the registration fee. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please email your request to paul@wlyba.org

Coaches Meeting: All coordinators will hold a meeting for their coaches, including assistant coaches, to finalize team rosters, discuss rules and other pertinent information prior to the beginning of the season.

Post Season Party: Each team will be responsible for holding its own post-season party.

Pictures and Trophies: We do not provide pictures for participants. We will provide participation trophies for players in kindergarten through 3rd grade. For players in the 4th through 6th grade, we provide 1st and 2nd place trophies to players of the top two teams in each league.
